YAY I ACTUALLY GOT THIS ONE!
hahahaha
I'm lost.
I'm either stuck with the language barrier (The great brotherhood....), or this is an inside joke.
Just what are you implying about Canada?
Just one Canadian in particular.
He's not Canadian. He's actually from France and immigrated here.
ah... I think I understand. Is this in reference to Bear 411 and its proprietor?
Don't forget to add a blue bar. *GRIN* He's not actually Canadian but from France. He just happened to have immigrated here.
French flag.... rather than the Canadian.
As I said, our beloved BuddyBear is actually from France not Canada. He just happened to have immigrated here in the past two years.
Oh I see....
but why?
do you think this has something to do with someone from France?? Or this Buddybear?? That's not what I depicted. I have said nothing that could be concidered offensive
I am interpreting your art as a commentary on the silly Buddybear/Bear411 as a few others are. If not, then I stand corrected.
What's coming up for me is this - I certainly do appreciate the plurality of humor and making a statement and when I first saw what you put together, I actually did chuckle. On the other hand, seeing someone knock off the Canadian flag in this manner, I find it mildly offensive.
I've not talked about the situation and I'm not sure it's really worth giving him more publicity. I find his acts inapropriate and I find it even more embarassing that he now lives in Montreal for some reason. That's just me. I guess I'd rather not see him considered Canadian when he's not. He just happens to live here.
In terms of my account on the site, I am contemplating my options at making my own statement and either deleting or having my own account deleted.
Oh, I didn't invent that riff on the Candadian Flag... one of your own bear clubs has that. I simply used it as a backdrop.
eitherway, I'm happy that what I did has provoked some thought
*GRIN* Which is what I like about this art-blog project (if you call it that) of yours. | |
